Three separate limits protect your costs: your plan's monthly allowance, a fair daily cap per shopper, and an optional per-shopper limit you control.
The short version: Your plan allowance is the monthly budget. On top of it, every shopper gets a fair daily cap — 12 try-ons a day, doubling to 24 after they purchase — so one person can't burn your credits. You can additionally set your own per-shopper limit in Settings. At every limit, shoppers see a clear, polite message rather than a broken widget.
| Limit | What it is | Who controls it |
|---|---|---|
| Plan allowance | Your monthly try-on budget (10 on Free, 75–5,000 on paid plans). At the limit: pause, or opt-in overage at $0.15. | You — via your plan and the overage toggle |
| Daily shopper cap | 12 try-ons per shopper per day, doubling to 24 for shoppers who purchased through a try-on in the last 30 days. Keeps costs predictable and rewards your buyers. | Built in |
| Per-shopper limit | An optional stricter cap you configure: N try-ons per hour, 6 hours, 12 hours, day, or week. | You — Settings → Per-shopper limit |
Testing your own store?: Your own try-ons count against these limits too. If you're doing a heavy round of testing, raise the per-shopper limit temporarily, then set it back.
12 per day by default, doubling to 24 for shoppers who purchased through a try-on in the last 30 days. Merchants can additionally set their own stricter per-shopper limit in Settings.
Each try-on costs real compute, and your plan is a monthly budget. The daily cap keeps one enthusiastic shopper from consuming a meaningful share of it — while the doubled cap for buyers gives your best customers more room.
The per-shopper limit is tracked per browser, with an IP-level backstop only at three times the configured limit — so many people on one network can each use the widget normally.
